Q.  Where is my order?

A.  If you're contacting me about when an order will ship, please be reminded that many of my products are made to order and may take up to two weeks to be made before shipping. A tracking number will be sent to your email when I ship your order.

 

Q.  Do you do custom orders?

A.  Yes, we do.  We do custom jewelry, candle, and natural remedy requests.  Special requests can include special birth stones, intention jewelry, candle fragrances, candle colors, candle intention, Bach Flower Blend Bottles, and other Herbal Remedies and personal care products.  Reach out to me with your inquiry.

 

Q: Are these teacups safe to use as candle vessels? 

A: Every vintage teacup in this collection is individually inspected before pouring. We select only vessels that are free of visible cracks, chips, or structural damage that could pose a thermal risk during burning.

 

Q: Are the teacups lead-free? ⚠️

A: As vintage and antique china may predate modern lead-free glaze standards, we recommend handling vessels with standard care. We do not make lead-free certification claims for vintage pieces.

 

Q: What surface should I burn my teacup candle on? 

A: Always place your candle on a heat-resistant, stable surface away from drafts, flammable materials, children, and pets. The teacup and saucer (if included) will become warm during burning — do not hold or move a lit candle.

 

Q: Can I leave a burning candle unattended? 

A: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish before leaving the room or going to sleep.

 

Q: How low should I burn the candle? 

A: Stop burning when approximately ½ inch (1.25 cm) of wax remains. Burning beyond this point can overheat the vessel and cause thermal stress or breakage.

 

Q: My teacup has metallic trim or gilt detailing — is that safe? 

A: Metallic, gilt, or luster-decorated rims can conduct heat and are purely decorative. Do not use metallic-trimmed vessels in a microwave. During candle use, keep the wick trimmed to ¼ inch before each burn to minimize flame height and heat near the rim.

 

Q: Can I use the teacup for food or drinks after the candle is finished? ⚠️ 

A:  After the candle has fully burned, remove any remaining wax residue with warm water. If you choose to use the vessel for food or drink, wash thoroughly with soap and hot water. As vintage glazes vary, we leave that decision to the individual customer.

 

Q: How do I clean out the vessel after burning? 

A: Once the wax has cooled and solidified, place the vessel in the freezer for 1–2 hours. The wax will contract and can be popped out cleanly.

You may also pour just boiled water into the cup of remaining wax, allow to cool and the wax will float to the surface of the cup.

Do not pour hot wax down the drain. Remove any residue with warm soapy water.
